Job DescriptionVenn GroupFinancial Systems DeveloperSalary: 45,000 48,000Work Style: Hybrid - 3 days on-site Location: Bristol Brief OverviewOur client requires a Financial Systems Developer to take a leading role in the development of their core finance systems, primarily Unit4 ERP and its associated integrations. Key ResponsibilitiesSystems Development & Support: Lead on the design, development, and implementation of finance systems, integrations, and reporting solutions. Provide expert-level support and technical consultancy on Unit4 ERP configuration and optimisation.Technical Leadership: Serve as the technical lead on finance system issues, impact assessments, and escalations. Ensure appropriate system documentation and knowledge transfer.Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for innovation, automation, and performance enhancement across finance operations and technologies.Collaboration & Advice: Work closely with other departments to align system capabilities correctly and offer specialist guidance to system users and business process owners.Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to policies, quality standards and legal/regulatory obligations.Expected CompetenciesLead initiatives for systems improvement and service transition across technical and non-technical teams.Strong knowledge across both Finance (AAT or above) & IT (ERP) Essential Qualifications & ExperienceDegree or equivalent experience; evidence of continuous professional development.Proven experience in a large, complex finance or IT environmentsStrong background in software development lifecycle, business analysis, and systems integrationAdvanced Unit4 ERP administration skills, including balance tables, workflow, reporting tools (Information Browser, Xtra Reports, Excelerator, SQL, Power BI)Proficiency in financial business processes: payments, general ledger, billing, reconciliation, debt recoveryExperience delivering user-focused technical solutions and managing stakeholder expectationsStrong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain complex systems to varied audiencesDesirable Qualifications & ExperienceA technical or finance qualification (e.g., AAT, CIMA).Prior experience in a Higher Education environment.Knowledge of Unit4 APIs and Extension Kit.Meet 80% of the requirements?
