Job Title: Pump Sales Engineer – Commercial Buildings SectorReports To: Sales Manager / Regional Sales DirectorEmployment Type: Full-TimePosition Overview:We are seeking a results-driven Pump Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team, specializing in the commercial buildings sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with mechanical contractors, consulting engineers, building owners, and facility managers to promote and sell pumping systems, components, and related services.This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, sales acumen, and customer relationship management to identify opportunities and deliver engineered pumping solutions for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and water systems within commercial buildings such as offices, hospitals, schools, and retail facilities.Key Responsibilities:Promote and sell pumps and pumping systems (e.g., HVAC circulation, booster, sewage, fire protection) to customers in the commercial building market.Build strong relationships with MEP consultants, specifying engineers, contractors, facility managers, and end users.Prepare and deliver technical presentations and proposals tailored to client requirements.Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support, including product selection, system design assistance, and troubleshooting.Manage sales cycles from initial contact through contract negotiation to project delivery.Track and manage opportunities using CRM software; maintain accurate forecasting and reporting.Attend industry trade shows, networking events, and client meetings to generate new leads.Collaborate with internal application engineers, product managers, and customer service teams to ensure seamless project execution.Keep up to date with market trends, competitor activities, and new product developments.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).3+ years of experience in technical sales, preferably in pumps, HVAC equipment, or mechanical systems for commercial buildings.Strong understanding of commercial HVAC and plumbing systems, pump selection, and fluid dynamics.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Proficient with CRM tools, MS Office Suite, and sales reporting.Self-motivated with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.Preferred:Knowledge of key pump brands and systems Experience reading mechanical plans and specifications.Familiarity with LEED, energy efficiency standards, and building automation systems.What We Offer:Competitive base salary plus commission and bonus structure.Company vehicle or car allowance.Health, dental, and vision insurance.Ongoing training and professional development opportunities.A supportive and innovative team environment.Join us in shaping sustainable and efficient building systems with world-class pumping solutions.
