You will be based in Watford but exposed to senior decision-making and real-time commercial activity across all functions and regions. You will work closely with the Head of Legal and have regular interaction with the Group CEO and leadership team.If you are looking to move beyond pure legal theory and into the engine room of a business — this is the place. In one year, you will gain hands-on legal, commercial, and operational experience that will rival anything you learnt at law school.Key Responsibilities:Draft, review, and support negotiation of a wide range of commercial agreements (distribution, supply, agency, sourcing, consultancy, and service contracts).Support the Head of Legal with day-to-day operations and strategic legal matters.Advise the Group CEO and senior management on general commercial and business-related legal issues.Assist in creating and maintaining company policies, ensuring compliance with current legal frameworks.Manage legal records, contract libraries, and internal databases.Draft and update employment documents; support disciplinary, redundancy, and other HR-related processes.Provide legal input on commercial risk and business terms.Participate in internal team meetings, including legal coordination across group companies.Key skills and experience required:2–3 years PQE or completion of paralegal training. Prior in-house experience is a plus.Strong drafting and communication skills. Able to balance legal precision with commercial pragmatism.Proactive, detail-oriented, and confident working independently.Keen to learn, adapt, and build broader commercial awareness quicklyWhat do you get:Salary: Up to £40,000 p/a25 days of annual leave + bank holidaysAdditional days holiday between Christmas and New Year if the Directors decide to close the businessStandard working hours 9 to 5:30 - 30 min lunch = 40 hours a week1-day WFH after probation and training at the company’s sole discretion (non-contractual)Workplace Pension Scheme.
