Experienced Purchasing or Procurement Manager required to lead a small purchasing team in a market-leading chemical manufacturer in Sussex.Title: Procurement ManagerLocation: Brighton, East SussexSalary: £35,000 - £45,000 (dependent on experience)Term: PermanentSRG are working with a well-respected, global company who specialise in the creation of speciality chemicals for several different markets. Currently undergoing an exciting growth journey, they are now looking for a Procurement Manager to lead a small purchasing team and improve procurement strategies. This is an exciting opportunity to own and lead various procurement optimisation projects within the business!Benefits: An opportunity to join a speciality chemicals company at an exciting time for the company. Discretionary bonus scheme, Xmas shutdown period, company pension amongst others. 37.5 hours per week, with an early finish on a Friday.Role / Description Leading a small purchasing team internallyCarrying out training, development and performance reviews of the teamUnderstanding the current purchasing and stock management processesIdentifying areas for improvement to increase efficienciesUsing the internal ERP, and utilising the system to its full potentialManaging the full procurement process for a range of speciality chemicalsNegotiating contracts with suppliersCreating and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders within the suppliersLiaising with multiple departments in the business including Logistics and Sales.RequirementsRecent CIPS qualificationProven recent experience as a Procurement Manager, ideally in a technical manufacturing environment but this is not essentialAble to be on site near Brighton 5 days a weekA proactive approach and drive to deliver exceptional serviceWilling and excited to implement positive change and process improvementsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.If you would like to apply for this position, please use the link provided.
