Compliance Advisory Manager

Job Description Contract: 9 month FTCBrighton: 1/2 days a week in officeTitle: Compliance Advice & Assurance ManagerSalary/ Rate: 75,000 - 85,000 (basic)Compliance Advice & Assurance Manager working with a rapidly growing financial services firm. Reporting into the Head of Compliance, you will play a key role in championing Consumer Duty and scrutinising regulatory matters.Key Responsibilities:Leadership:Promote a culture aligned to brand values and mutual ethosSet clear, challenging objectives for the functionMotivate and develop team members, ensuring effective controlsBusiness Partnering & Governance:Build strong stakeholder relationships to support an effective second line Compliance functionDeliver the annual Compliance plan and provide clear, timely regulatory adviceOversee policies, projects, data protection, and business supportSupport risk identification, escalation, and governance across the GroupLead Compliance and Conduct Risk reporting, including to Boards and CommitteesDeputise for the Head of Compliance when requiredFinancial Crime:Define policy and risk appetiteDeliver and oversee the financial crime prevention frameworkConduct Risk:Define policy and risk appetiteDeliver and embed the conduct risk frameworkSupport delivery of good customer outcomes, including Board reporting (Consumer Duty)Regulatory Change:Identify and communicate regulatory developments and risksKey Skills and Experience:Compliance experience within Financial Services (ideally insurance or investments) Regulatory or Compliance certifications: e.g. CII, CISI, ICA, etcExperience in Compliance Advisory/ Business Partnering
