Job Description Job Title: Procurement Manager Location: Hove or Nottingham Reports To: Operations & Risk Director Employment Type: Permanent, Full-TimeOverview: The Shore Group are a sector-driven business looking for a proactive Procurement Manager to lead purchasing across the group. Youll manage both direct (construction materials, works packages) and indirect (corporate services) spend categories to support our multi-sector service delivery, helping us deliver efficient, compliant, and value-driven projects across our multi-sector business.Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver procurement strategies across the GroupSupport project teams with cost effective sourcing for construction, small works, retail refits, and civils projectsIdentify and deliver opportunities for savings, efficiency, and value engineeringBuild and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and subcontractorsLead supplier reviews, audits, and performance assessmentsNegotiate contracts and framework agreementsEnsure compliance with SHEQ, modern slavery, governance requirements, and HMRC processesWork with Commercial, Operations, and Finance teams to streamline procurement systems and processesSupport bids and tenders with procurement input and insightsWork closely with divisional directors (Construction, Civils, Small Works, Retail, Logistics) to understand procurement needsAlign all procurement activity with our 2030 Social Value goalsWhat Were Looking ForProven experience in procurement or supply chain management (construction or multi-sector preferred)Strong negotiation and relationship management skillsUnderstanding of compliance and governance in procurementCollaborative mindset and ability to work across multiple teams and divisionsEssential Experience & QualificationsDegree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent)CIPS qualification (Level 4+) or working towards Chartered statusMinimum 5 years' procurement experience in construction, facilities management, or multi-service environmentsProven track record managing both direct (construction materials, works packages) and indirect (corporate services) spend categoriesExcellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skillsWith a competitive salary (commensurate with experience) and the opportunity to shape procurement strategy within a fast-paced 240m group, this is an exciting time to join our growing company.If you feel this role is a good fit for you and would like to know more, please apply today!
