Senior Buyer / EstimatorAlco Valves Group Brighouse, England, United Kingdom (On-site)MUST BE LOCAL TO THE AREADescription of PositionThe Senior Buyer / Estimator is an integral part of not only the production process, but also the overall success of the business. They are responsible for sourcing the raw materials, CNC machined components 'soft goods for three group companies, all at the most competitive price and lead-time. A key area of the role is in the estimating, hence this role would be ideal for somebody with prior machining experience whom has progressed from a shopfloor environment into the office. Strong negotiating, networking, experience of Microsoft Excel and mathematical ability as well as knowledge of sustainability, risk management and ethical issues are highly desirable. As most of the Company’s revenue is spent on the procurement of raw materials and parts, the candidate has the chance to make a real difference in cost saving and therefore, profits for the business.
