You'll work closely with a supportive team, developing valuable technical skills while contributing to the creation of exciting new products.Lab Technician Refresco, Bridgwater4 on 4 off, days only, 12 hour shiftsWhats in it for you?Competitive salaryGood company pensionAnnual bonusEnhanced holiday entitlementOption to buy additional holidaysAccess to employees benefits platform CheersAbout the roleTo provide the business with analytical and microbiological services to support the operations function in achieving right first-time quality.Sampling as scheduled at all specific points on raw materials, manufacturing process and finished goods in terms of chemical and microbiological analysis.Analysis of samples as per specified methods.Inform Technical/Production Managers of results outside specification for instigation of corrective actions.Maintain the working area in a clean, safe and tidy condition.Observe the requirements as laid down in the Food Safety Act 1990 and Food Hygiene Regulations amended 2005.Observe company health and safety procedures as laid down, and be proactive in ensuring the continuance of updating proceduresGive technical support to the other company departments when requiredAssist Technical Management with the implementation of quality systems and project work.Ensure that all analytical equipment is maintained and calibrated to the required standards and schedulesCarry out product sensory panels to meet requirementsEnsure raw materials & chemicals used within the laboratory are within acceptable date criteria.Ensure the quality laboratory operation meets the requirements of external accredited bodies by following procedures carefullySupport each other within the team to provide resources whenever required to resolve problems and prevent customer & consumer complaintsArrange service contracts and maintain equipment to high standardsOrder all materials and equipment as requiredEnsure that all quality and food safety checks are carried out satisfactorilyAbout YouExperience and understanding of GMP.Adequate background knowledge of micro and HPLCKnowledge and experience of organoleptic techniques.Sound understanding of HACCP and Food Safety principles, ideally to at least intermediate levelUltimately, we want you to live, drink, and breathe the Refresco Values as we believe these are what have made us, and will continue to make us, successful.Be accurate in your daily tasks and duties, paying great attention to detail.Be open to learning new things as you can be involved in basic engineering and quality tasks.Be positive and energetic, and enjoy working in a team.Be confident enough to put forward new ideas and suggestions.Be comfortable working to targets.If you believe you are a great match for this profile, we want to hear from you.About RefrescoOur drinks on every table.
