Our knowledge of the energy and environment sector means we can support our customers at all stages of the engineering-procurement-construction-commissioning (EPCC) project lifecycle.With operations in 16 countries and employing over 6,000 staff worldwide, our business responds to the needs of our clients by delivering expertise in the form of high added value engineering services.Senior Project Manager - NuclearVulcain Engineering UK are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our PMO division, who are providing the client-side professional services for Hinkley Point C (HPC) a pioneer nuclear new build project in the Southwest of the UK.This is a senior delivery position with full end-to-end accountability for one or more major contracts or work packages within the HPC programme. Holds responsibility for safe, compliant execution across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning in a highly regulated nuclear environment.Some of the main responsibilities of the Senior Project Manager will include:Accountable for full lifecycle delivery of major contracts or work packages, meeting time, cost, quality, and safety objectivesDefine scope, set execution strategy, and manage key programme interfacesLead multidisciplinary teams of 2050 people, including matrixed resourcesOwn and manage Level 3 and Level 4 schedules, aligned with the overall project planControl cost, risk, and change through Earned Value Management principlesAdminister NEC and FIDIC contracts, including claims management and close-outBuild and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across contractors, subcontractors and site teamsEnsure strict adherence to nuclear safety, quality standards, and CDM requirementsPreferred Profile:Proven delivery of complex EPC/EPCM scopes in regulated environments, with accountability for major contracts and multi-year programmesEnd-to-end experience across design, manufacture, construction, and commissioningStrong leadership of multidisciplinary teams under pressure, with clear ownership and decision-makingConfident in managing contractor performance and driving improvement where neededSolid application of earned value, risk management, and change controlExperience administering NEC and/or FIDIC contracts, including claims, negotiation, and resolutionFull budget responsibility, not just performance reportingBackground in nuclear, energy, infrastructure, or similarly regulated sectorsGood understanding of nuclear quality standards and graded approach to qualityKnowledge of CDM regulations and experience in a principal contractor environmentDemonstrated commitment to safety, compliance, and high-quality deliveryWhy join us?
