Multi Skilled Technician

Reed Recruitment is partnered with a multinational sustainable manufacturing company, based in Bridgend who are going through a sustained period of growth and are looking to add a Mechanical biased Multi skilled technician to their days regular team. Reporting to the Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll work as a multi-skilled (Mechanical Bias) technician, tackling mechanical maintenance, fault diagnosis, and basic electrical tasks. You'll support root cause analysis, drive continuous improvement, and help boost performance. Day-to-day of the role: Restore, overhaul, and maintain equipment to departmental targets. Perform equipment/unit changes on machines. Operate and maintain Steam systems (training provided). Work with Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems. Conduct welding & burning tasks. Operate machine shop equipment, e.g., lathes, milling machines. Carry out fault diagnosis. Utilise the CMMS (EAM) system to improve reliability. Assist in preventing reoccurrence of equipment failures through root cause analysis and initiating solutions to ensure asset performance improvements. Continuously develop technical skills through training and hands-on experience. Required Skills: Time served Mechanical Engineer/ Technician. Experience across Heavy/ Medium industries.
