Senior Claims Handler

Citrus Recruit are excited to be working with a global organisation to recruit for an experienced Senior Claims Handler working within Employers and Public Liability. Our client, a global leader in specialty insurance, is seeking a Senior Claims Handler to join their established Liability team. Youll be managing a caseload of Employers and Public Liability claims using your experience to assess, negotiate and settle claims efficiently and fairly, while supporting junior team members and collaborating with underwriting teams. Responsibilities & day to day duties As a Senior Claims Handler, you will be responsible for: Handle a caseload of Employers and Public Liability claims from start to finish Accurately assess liability, allocate reserves, and settle claims in line with authority limits and service targets Ensure compliance with FCA regulations and internal company procedures Provide technical guidance to underwriters regarding policy coverage queries Mentor and support junior colleagues with complex cases and referrals Maintain a strong focus on customer service, efficiency, and quality Skills & experience required Proven experience in handling EL/PL liability claims Confident in managing your own caseload from notification to resolution Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills Strong analytical and numeracy ability for managing workflow and financials Interrupting and applying the policies A customer-first mindset and ability to work with professionalism and empathy Benefits package 45,000 DOE Hybrid working Non-contributory pension scheme Funded private healthcare 25 days annual leave + bank holidays Wellbeing allowance Free on-site parking Support towards CII qualifications and continuous professional development Citrus Recruit acts as an employment business when introducing candidates for permanent employment with a client.
