Baltic Apprenticeships are delighted to be partnering with Eserve IT, a trusted provider of managed IT, cloud, and cybersecurity solutions across Essex, London, and beyond, to recruit a motivated IT Apprentice. This exciting opportunity offers a starting salary of 19,00020,000 per year, working Monday to Friday, 9am5pm, with 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays and a Christmas shutdown. As an apprentice at Eserve IT, youll get hands-on experience in real-world IT operations from resolving helpdesk tickets and supporting password resets to configuring antivirus software, setting up multi-factor authentication, and carrying out software updates. Youll learn how to upgrade and repair PCs, work with routers, switches, and firewalls, and interpret technical documentation such as network diagrams and system specifications. All tasks are managed and documented through Eserve ITs in-house ticketing system, OTS, giving you a true insight into how professional IT support operates day-to-day. In this role, youll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships. A Typical Day in the Job: Security processes such as password resets, multi factor auth, anti virus configuration. Interpret technical docs like network diagrams, technical specs all found on Sharepoint. Support with SLAs via the ticketing system OTS (In house ticketing system). Everything will be documents via the ticketing system also. Support will be given over the phone, through email, teams and F2F site visits. Upgrade and repair PCs such as increasing RAM, changing CPU, GPU. Work with hardware devices like routers, switches and firewalls. Conduct software updates like service packs, security patches and driver updates. Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships. Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge Grade 4 in GCSE Mathematics & Grade 5 in GCSE English Basic understanding of IT systems and hardware. Basic knowledge of networking concepts. Good problem-solving skills and willingness to learn. Reliable and punctual with a proactive attitude. Good communication and customer service skills. Full UK Driving Licence and access to a car Salary, Hours & Benefits: 19,000-20,000 per annum. 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. 20 days holiday plus bank holidays Christmas day, Boxing day and Christmas Eve shutdown. Opportunity to progress to NE L4. This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in IT support. Afterwards, well support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.
