Job Description EstimatorOur client is a growing mechanical contractor based in London, delivering full design and build solutions across a wide range of mechanical services, with the majority of projects located locally in and around Central London.With a large and ever growing forward order book, they're looking for an experienced Estimator to join their team. This is an office-based role, with client visits required as and when needed.EstimatorWhat's in it for you?Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMUp to 80,000 (DOE)20 days holiday + Bank HolidaysTravel expenses coveredCompany laptop providedPhoneEstimatorKey ResponsibilitiesLead the preparation of competitive and accurate cost estimates for mechanical building services packagesCarry out detailed take-offs from drawings, specifications, and design informationSupport pre-construction activities including cost planning, budget development, and tender strategyWork closely with design engineers, project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather pricing and validate assumptionsReview designs and offer constructive input on buildability, value engineering and costing optimisationProduce tender documentation and ensure timely submission against procurement deadlinesIdentify commercial risks and opportunities and escalate appropriatelyParticipate in tender meetings and, where required, client presentationsHandover awarded projects to delivery teams with clear scope, price breakdowns and risk notesEstimatorRole RequirementsProven experience as an Estimator in a mechanical contractor or consulting engineering environmentSolid experience in pre-construction and cost estimating for mechanical building systemsComfortable interpreting mechanical design information and technical drawingsEvidence of collaboration with engineering/design teams on tendered projectsCompetent in estimating software and advanced Excel skillsRevit/BIM experience or exposure is highly desirableStrong commercial awareness, attention to detail, and analytical abilityExcellent communication and relationship building skills with internal and external stakeholdersAbility to manage multiple tenders and priorities under pressure Please be aware this job description is a general overview and subject to change as per our clients' needs.JBRP1_UKTJ
