Overview:With full responsibility for operational functions, you will lead 5 direct reports and a team of 30, embedding a high-performance culture focused on quality, accountability, and delivery. DescriptionThis role is pivotal in ensuring operational excellence, driving efficiency, and delivering high-quality service to our clients. The role is responsible for overseeing production processes, supply chain management, and the deployment of field service operatives while implementing best-in-class operational strategies.This role provides strategic operational leadership across the business to support our overall business strategy.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership: Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize manufacturing processes and field service operations.Manufacturing: Ensure efficient and cost-effective production processes, driving continuous improvement and quality standards.Field Service Management: Lead a production workshop and 2 satellite locations with a team of field service operatives, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery to customers.Process Improvement: Utilise Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.Performance Metrics: Define KPIs and implement performance measurement systems to track productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.Supply Chain & Logistics: Streamline supply chain operations to enhance procurement, resilience, inventory control, and distribution efficiency.Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to health & safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to drive operational excellence and service delivery.Key Performance MetricsProduction EfficiencyQuality PerformanceSLA Adherence Service Completion Rate (Customer satisfaction)ISO Compliance H&S Audit Scores Essential Experience & SkillsEffective communication both written and oraltEffective planning, organisation, prioritisationtStrong Microsoft Office skills (Word/Excel)tStrong background in engineering, Lean Six SigmatExperience in a manufacturing environmenttHigh level of attention to detailtAbility to collaborate across all departments tAbility to work under pressure and be flexible tDesirable Experience & SkillsExperience working in the automotive sectorVan sector experience or OEM experienceExperience of OEM PPAP processesExperience of vehicle conversionsSo, if you tick the above boxes, we encourage you to apply today, and a member of the team will review your details and contact you to book in a call.
