About Us: We are a nurturing and supportive childrens residential home providing care for children and young people aged 10-18 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). Our mission is to create a safe, stable, and therapeutic environment where every child feels valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential. The Role: As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, welfare, and emotional well-being of the children throughout the night. Youll be a calming and consistent presence, offering support when needed and maintaining a settled atmosphere during night-time hours. Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality care and supervision throughout the night. Support young people with emotional, behavioural or sleep-related issues. Complete regular checks, observations, and accurate record-keeping. Respond to incidents or emergencies in a calm, professional manner. Carry out domestic tasks (e.g., cleaning, preparing breakfast). Work collaboratively with the day team to ensure consistent care. Requirements: At least two years experience working with children or young people (preferably with EBD). Ability to remain alert, compassionate, and responsive during night shifts. Strong communication and de-escalation skills. Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards). The role is subject to enhanced DBS clearance for children and vulnerable adults.
