Experienced Head Chef needed in the heart of Fitzrovia, Central London 25 per hour (65000+ per annum) / 50 hours a week / Paid weekly / Any overtime paid at hourly rate The ideal head chef will be passionate and an enthusiastic, confident and at ease in a high paced, busy restaurant. We have been featured on the one show, and various BBC radio programmes multiple times. With a big local following and guests from further afield, we offer a unique dining experience which mixes the passion in the kitchen with the flair in the restaurant. As a head chef at Sergios, your responsibilities will include: Bring creative ideas to weekly food specials meeting Food costings and ordering efficiently Working with suppliers to order cost effectively and also focus on ordering what is in season Negotiating prices with suppliers and making sure they stick to them. Making sure all food is prepared and cooked how it should be Ensuring that all food preparation and cooking is done in accordance with established recipes and quality standards Managing the kitchen, including overseeing the work of other chefs or kitchen assistants Ensuring the kitchen is clean and organised, and that all equipment is properly maintained Collaborating with other kitchen staff and restaurant management to ensure that food is prepared and served in a timely manner Adhering to company food safety and allergens policy Maintaining accurate records of food inventory, preparation, and waste Benefits: Paid weekly All overtime paid at hourly rate 28 days holiday including Christmas and New year off!
