Creating safe, nurturing, and fun experiences is central to what we do.We're recruiting Casual Care Workers for our homes in Carlisle and Headsnook-warm, compassionate individuals who want to help young people recover from early life experiences and thrive.Main DutiesSupport daily routines: morning/evening tasks, personal hygiene, meals, school runs, activities, and bedtimePromote independence, life skills, socialisation, and room cleanlinessAttend appointments and support activity plans and daily targetsComplete paperwork: day sheets, handovers, budgeting, checks, and daily recordsCarry out household tasks: cleaning, laundry, shopping, meal prep, and kitchen hygieneComplete safety checks (COSHH, fire, vehicle)Build positive relationships with families and help organise family timeAbout You: Flexibility to work up to 14-hour shifts with varied start times (08:00, 12:00, 14:00), including potential sleep-insUnderstanding of the challenges faced by young people in careLevel 3 Residential Childcare qualification (or willingness to work toward it)Excellent communication, listening, and teamwork skillsWillingness to learn and complete an enhanced DBS (paid for by us)Experience in EBD, social care, residential work, or youth work (advantageous)North Lakes Children's Services is an equal opportunities employer and positively encourages applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates. xjdpvnf The company committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff to share this commitment.
