Key Responsibilities Issue documentation for both new business and renewals within agreed service levels Proactively follow up on outstanding proposal forms, subjectivities, and Year-End Declarations (YEDs) Process mid-term adjustments (MTAs) as required Provide administrative support on claims and survey files Prepare renewal quotes and support the team in quote production Maintain accurate and timely policy and claims records on internal systems Respond to broker queries with a professional and helpful attitude Maintain diary systems and ensure tasks are completed within agreed timescales Promote the business through strong broker relationships and a consistently positive approach Attributes, Skills, Qualifications Candidates must meet the essential criteria through relevant experience or demonstrated transferable skills. However, desirable attributes, skills, and qualifications will be considered a strong advantage. Previous experience in a similar underwriting support or insurance administrative role Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage time effectively Confident and professional communication skills Computer literate with a good working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel A proactive, friendly, and enthusiastic approach Commitment to studying for the CII Certificate (Cert CII) Experience in commercial lines insurance, particularly SME underwriting Knowledge of claims and survey administration Prior experience with BDX production and broker/intermediary interaction Existing progress towards Cert CII or higher-level insurance qualifications Key Attributes Reliable and detail-oriented, with a high standard of accuracy Customer-focused with a helpful and solution-driven mindset Team-oriented, with a willingness to support others and take initiative Enthusiastic about learning and continuous professional development Adaptable, with a flexible attitude towards change and new challenges Why Join Shape Underwriting?
