In this role, you will be working in our Key Account team supporting the management and growth of one of Metro’s largest customers. This role will provide exposure to carriers and customers alike with great opportunity for career development. If you have experience in ocean freight, excellent organisational skills, and a knack for problem-solving, we would love to hear from you.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic pricing planning to support global distributionBuilding and enhancing carrier and trade portfoliosSupport RFQs and pricing updatesSupport spot quoting & follow upSupport with carrier business reviewsCoordination with Operations teams on booking escalation and resolutionSupport in customer business review preparationsOther tasks as requiredGeneral Skills Ocean freight background is essential – understanding of FCL, LCL, Roll-On/Roll-Off and Out-of-Gauge desirableGood knowledge of ocean carrier landscapeAn understanding of ocean market and tradesStrong communication skillsComputer literate – MS Office experience essential and freight management software experience is desirable e.g. CargoWiseExcellent attention to detailA sense of urgencyStrong time management skillsDG Training advantageousWhy choose Metro?
