Bank Chef Catering and Hospitality - Aspen Court Care Home Contract:BankSalary:12.71 Per HourShift Type:DaysContracted hours:0Aspen Court Nursing & Dementia Nursing Home is a modern, purpose-built home in the peaceful northern outskirts of Taunton, offering high-quality Dementia and Nursing care for up to 42 residents.We are looking for a skilled and passionate Bank Chef to join our team on a flexible zero hours contract. This is a great opportunity to use your culinary skills to create nutritious, well-balanced meals that make a real difference to the lives of our residents.What We Offer12.71 per hourZero hours contract offering flexibility across shiftsPension scheme, Paid DBS, Uniform provided5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time equivalent)Why This Role MattersAs a Bank Chef, you will play an essential role in ensuring our residents enjoy fresh, high-quality meals that meet their dietary needs and preferences. You will support the Head Chef in delivering a varied and nutritious menu, helping to maintain a warm and welcoming dining experience for everyone in our home.What You Will DoYou will prepare, cook, and serve both hot and cold meals to the highest standards, ensuring food is both appealing and nutritious. You will maintain excellent hygiene practices, record food safety checks, and ensure stock is rotated and stored correctly. When required, you will assist in menu planning and kitchen organisation, stepping in confidently when the Head Chef is unavailable.What We Are Looking ForCity & Guilds 706 1 and 2, or an equivalent recognised catering qualification (achieved or working towards)Basic Food Hygiene CertificateExperience in preparing meals to meet a range of dietary requirementsAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamStrong communication and organisational skillsPrevious experience within a care home or similar environment is desirable but not essentialAbout UsAspen Court Nursing & Dementia Home is part of Care Concern Group, a family-owned, market-leading care provider with over 100 homes across the United Kingdom.
