The Reward Specialist is a pivotal role designed to support the Reward Managers and Head of People in developing and implementing operational reward plans and processes. This role involves making recommendations and providing robust, insightful data to support effective decision-making. Additionally, the role supports the Senior Reward Manager with Industrial Relations (IR), effectively communicating with unions and colleagues to resolve queries and maintain strong relationships. What youll be doing: - Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of operational reward processes, including salary reviews, bonus plans, and ad-hoc changes. - Developing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate an understanding of business objectives. - Acting as the escalation point for any queries relating to pay. - Coaching and supporting key stakeholders on reward policies and practices. - Reviewing and analysing external market data to ensure competitive remuneration. - Providing robust and insightful reports to drive data-based decision-making. - Resolving union queries promptly and supporting the IR plan. About you: - Highly numerate with advanced analytical skills and experience in building complex Excel models (essential). - Collaborative, engaging, and credible with a strong reputation for placing the customer at the heart of all planning. - Ability to build and maintain relationships that provide internal and external customer insight. - Growing commercial, financial, and IR understanding. - Proven ability to deliver under pressure and in situations of ambiguity. - Experience in a Reward Specialist role or a HR generalist role. - Experience with HR systems and reporting. - Experience working with unions is desirable.
