The successful candidate will be confident managing their own workload, coordinating administrative processes across the practice, and ensuring the smooth and efficient running of internal operations.In this role, you will act as a central point of organisation for the teamtracking deadlines, managing client administration, and maintaining systems and processes to a consistently high standard.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the daytoday administrative and operational functions of the practiceAct as the central coordination point for administrative workflows, deadlines, and internal processesHandle client communications and serve as the primary contact for incoming calls and emailsMaintain and develop internal systems, trackers, and reporting spreadsheetsSupport the organisation of workloads and monitor key administrative deadlines across the practiceOversee Companies House administration, including the accurate and timely filing of Confirmation StatementsSupervise the workflow of the Administrative Assistant, providing guidance and ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on timeManage HMRC registrations such as Self Assessment and support wider client compliance administrationSupport new client onboarding, including engagement documentation and setup processesEnsure all AML records are complete, accurate, and fully up to dateMaintain accurate client records and ensure effective document managementAssist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processesIdentify opportunities to improve administrative processes and enhance operational efficiencyProvide operational and organisational support to the directors and wider team as requiredExperience & Skills RequiredPrevious experience working within an accountancy practice or professional services environmentExperience coordinating or managing administrative workflows within a practice settingStrong Microsoft Office skills, with particular proficiency in Excel and spreadsheet managementGood understanding of Companies House and HMRC processesExperience using practice management software such as IRIS, Xero, BrightPay, or similar systemsExcellent organisational and timemanagement skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectivelyProven capability to work independently and take ownership of tasksStrong communication skills and confidence when dealing with clientsHigh level of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong administrative disciplineSalary and company benefits23 Days HolidayAdditional day off for birthdayEnhanced Parental PayHealth cash planAnnual bonus schemeCompany Sick PayCompany pension schemePerkbox subscription1 x paid membership / subscriptionCycle to work schemeEmployee Assistance ProgrammeAMS Group is an equal opportunity employer.
