Job Description 43,000 - 55,000 (depending on experience & qualifications | Full Time |Lead a specialist childrens home where your leadership truly changes lives!Work together with us to re-parent traumatised young people, supporting them to achieve their aspirations, whist we support you to achieve yours!We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Childrens Home Manager to be the heart of our 4-bed home in Bracknell. In this role, you will lead a dedicated team to create and maintain a safe, stable and nurturing environment where young people can grow and reach their full potential. This role combines strong leadership with a genuine commitment to child-centred, trauma-informed care.At SWAAY, we dont just provide residential care we create homes where children feel safe, valued and understood. For over 30 years, we have delivered specialist residential care, education and therapy for young males aged 11-18 who have experienced significant trauma and displayed harmful sexual behaviour. Our work focuses on reducing risk, addressing complex needs and empowering young people to move forward into safe, responsible and fulfilling adult lives.As a Childrens Home Manager you will:Lead the day-to-day running of the home, including staffing, rotas, budgets and resourcesCreate and maintain a safe, stable and therapeutic environment for young peoplePromote a culture of openness, communication and equalityOversee the development, implementation and review of care plans and risk assessmentsLead, coach and develop the staff team through supervision, mentoring and performance managementEnsure the home consistently meets Ofsted regulations and quality standardsEnsure high standards of care, safeguarding and complianceTo be a successful Childrens Home Manager at SWAAY, you will:Be a strong leader with a genuine passion for improving outcomes for vulnerable young peopleHave a Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare and Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & ManagementExperience in a managerial role within childrens residential careStrong knowledge of Childrens Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and Working Together to Safeguard ChildrenExperience supporting young people with emotional, behavioural or attachment difficultiesWhy work with us?Fully funded training - NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management.
