Due to rapid business growth, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly team of 5 vets, 7 nurses and 2 VCA''s.About the RoleWe are looking for a confident and proactive Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join our team in a nurse-led role . This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated nurse who enjoys working with a high level of autonomy and wants to play an active role in patient care, client education, and clinic development.The successful candidate will lead nurse consultations, support clinical procedures, and contribute to maintaining high standards of patient care within the practice.Key Responsibilities Running nurse-led consultations and clinics (e.g. weight clinics, post-operative checks, parasite control, nail clips, nutrition advice). Supporting veterinary surgeons with surgical procedures, anaesthesia, and inpatient care . Monitoring patients pre-, peri-, and post-operatively. Providing client education and support on preventative healthcare. Maintaining accurate clinical records. Assisting with practice protocols and clinical standards . Supporting and mentoring student nurses where appropriate. Ensuring high standards of hygiene, infection control, and animal welfare .Requirements Qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) . Registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) . Strong communication and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and take initiative in a nurse-led environment. A passion for delivering excellent patient and client care.The role involves OOHs on a rotating basis, including night shifts, and 1 in 6 Saturday mornings (9-12pm).Qualifications Relevant qualifications in veterinary nursing or equivalent experience in a veterinary setting. Strong knowledge of veterinary procedures, laboratory techniques, and animal care practices. Excellent communication skills with the ability to empathise with pet owners. Ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently.
