Contract Lawyer

We are currently partnering with a Local Authority, who are recruiting for a Contracts Lawyer to assist the Commercial Team. It is a 3-month initial contract with scope for extensionThis is available as a part time position and is fully remote, with a rate of c. £50.00. It is also looking to start ASAP.The successful candidate must be a Qualification as Solicitor, Barrister or FILEX, as well as experience handling high profile cases within a Local Authority.It is a great opportunity for junior lawyers to get their foot in the door or for senior lawyers to work additional hours!Duties will include (but are not limited to): Handling a broad range of contracts and agreements on behalf of the Council, including a mix of service contracts, data sharing agreements, consultancy agreements, grant agreements, framework and call off contracts, MOUs and SLAs, JTCs and NECsAdvising on procurement matters, commercial contracts and subsidy control, as well as some governance mattersEnsuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulation and policiesProviding advice on public procurement regulations and tendering processesLiaising with internal stakeholders and third-party clients in respect of contractual obligationsWorking hours:Part time (25 hours a week)Flexible workingPlease note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.James Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role.At James Andrews Recruitment Solutions we try to respond to all applications personally, however, due to the high volume of applications this is not always possible.
