Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical systems and equipment in line with health and safety regulations and operational requirements.Key Responsibilities:Perform routine maintenance on mechanical systems, machines, and equipment.Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs to minimize downtime.Install new machinery and ensure it is running correctly and efficiently.Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.Work with engineering teams to improve mechanical systems and processes.Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records.Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns when required.Support in continuous improvement initiatives across the site.Collaborate with other departments including electrical and production teamsRequirements:NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Proven experience in a similar mechanical technician or maintenance role.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Health and safety awareness, ideally with an understanding of risk assessments and safe systems of work.Flexibility to work shifts or overtime when required.
