Job Description Income Accounting OfficeJoin a local authority income team and help maintain accurate rent, service charge, and recharge accounts. You will support arrears recovery, respond to resident enquiries, and contribute to high standards of income management.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and update resident accounts accurately and promptlyManage charges, payments, and Direct Debit collectionsMonitor accounts for overpayments and benefit changesAssist with arrears recovery and debt management arrangementsIssue Digital Payment and Allpay cardsLiaise with benefits teams and respond to resident enquiriesSupport quarterly rent statements and outgoing tenant checksContribute to team targets and identify opportunities for process improvementWhat Were Looking ForExperience in office administration and customer supportGood standard of general education (GCSE/O Level Grade C/3 including English and Maths)Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to work to deadlinesICT literate (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable using databases or housing management systemsKnowledge of debt recovery and welfare benefits (Universal Credit/PIP)Team player with a positive, energetic approach and commitment to customer serviceAdditional InformationBasic DBS requiredMainly home-based with occasional office presence
