Job Description Senior Environmental Health Officer (Food & H&S Complaints)Local Authority Regulatory ServicesOverviewA Local Authority is seeking a qualified Environmental Health Officer to support its Regulatory Services team, focusing on food complaints and health 'safety investigations. The role may also require food hygiene inspections, so suitable qualification and competency is essential.This is an interim role with a permanent opportunity expected to be advertised in the coming months.Pay & Working PatternRate: Up to 40 per hour (Ltd)Hours: 12 days per weekLocation: Bournemouth / HybridContract: 6 months initially Key ResponsibilitiesInvestigate food safety and health 'safety complaintsUndertake food hygiene inspections where requiredGather evidence and produce clear enforcement reportsLiaise with businesses, complainants, and partner agenciesMaintain accurate case records and support enforcement actionRequirementsEnvironmental Health qualification (or equivalent)Experience in food safety and/or health 'safety enforcementCompetency to carry out food hygiene inspectionsStrong investigation, communication, and report writing skillsAbility to work independently on complaint-led casesWe can only consider applications from those eligible to work in the UK for this position.
