Job Description Housing Officer A local authority is seeking a motivated and experienced Housing Officer to join a busy team delivering housing services across Bournemouth. You will manage your own neighbourhood patch and must be able to respond quickly to issues as they arise.Role PurposeDeliver a high-quality housing management serviceSupport sustainable tenancies and resolve complex housing issuesKey ResponsibilitiesManage a neighbourhood patch, including tenancy, estate and void managementRespond to and resolve anti-social behaviour and safeguarding concernsHandle a complex caseload, including tenancy breaches and investigationsAct as an escalation point for complex housing issuesWork with residents, partners and agencies to resolve casesServe legal notices, prepare cases and attend court where requiredLead or support multi-agency responses to complex issuesProvide advice, reports and contribute to service improvementsEssential RequirementsExperience working in housing management or as a Housing OfficerExperience dealing with the public in challenging situationsKnowledge of anti-social behaviour, safeguarding and tenancy managementStrong communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage a varied and complex workloadFull UK driving licence and access to a vehicleDesirableChartered Institute of Housing qualification (or similar)Additional InformationAgile working available, with expectation to attend the patch as requiredTemporary contract until end of November with potential extension
