HGV Class 2 Skip Driver Full Class 2 UK Driving Licence is required for this position Job location: Sleaford NG34 area Pay rate: 13.87 per hour, weekly pay in arrears, every Friday Overtime after 40 hours 17.48 | Saturday O/T 19.48ph | Sunday O/T 20.48ph 20 bonus on Saturday / Sunday & Bank Hols after 6 hours work Schedule: Monday-Friday | 6am-4pm | Occasionally Saturday or Sunday Smart Solutions is currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Skip Driver to join our successful client based in the Sleaford NG34 area. Our client is a leader in Waste Management. Duties & Responsibilities Working as part of a single person crew, you will drive skip loaders and RoRo vehicles performing domestic and commercial waste collection. This involves delivering and collecting skips to and from customer locations, ensuring proper loading and unloading, and adhering to all relevant driving and safety regulations. This is a physically demanding role, and you'll need to be comfortable with early starts and happy working outside all year round and in all weathers. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, attention to safety and follow project timelines and complete tasks within the set deadlines. Drive and operate a skip lorry & RoRo vehicles and assisting with skip placement Safely loading and unloading skips, ensuring they are properly secured for transport Maintain awareness of other vehicles or people on the road and operate the lorry safely Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance to keep vehicles in top condition Provide excellent service and address any client enquiries professionally Requirements Digital tachograph card & CPC card essentials Valid Full Class 2 UK Driving Licence Good team working skills and good communication skills Previous experience within a waste & recycling industrial environment would be an advantage Proven experience in skip/RoRo operations within the waste sector preferred Ability to meet the physical demands of the role including manual handling Benefits Consistent Monday-Friday hours Overtime paid over 40h Holiday Pay Full PPE and uniform provided If the role of HGV Class 2 Skip Driver is the right role for you, apply now and a member of the Smart Team will contact you to discuss the role in more detail.
