Job Description National World / Smarthire are advertising on behalf of an external client. /n Assistant Store Manager /n About Us:Lingrain Storage offers state-of-the-art grain storage facilities from a unique dockside site in the Port of Boston, Lincolnshire. Formed by a group of farmers in 1976, the co-operative now provides a trusted grain storage and marketing facility for farmers in Lincolnshire, North Cambridgeshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire. /n About the role:We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Assistant Store Manager to join our team, who has a ‘can do’ attitude. /n The candidate will be responsible for supporting the store manager in every aspect of the day to day management of the Grain Store operation /n KEY TASKS: /n • Operating the SCADA control panel for the site, grain dryers and optical colour sorter. /n • Lead the team in the absence of the Store Manager. /n • Site maintenance and repairs. /n • Intake of grain /n • Loading Lorries and ships. /n • Assist in preparing managers’ report to be presented at board meetings. /n • Assist negotiating with supplies. /n • Assist with arranging and managing 3rd party staff on site. /n • Assisting in the formulation of the store utilisation plan in conjunction with the Managing Director. /n A successful candidate will have: /n • Experience of managing a small team of people. /n • Previous experience in grain storage desirable but not essential as training provided. /n • Ideally the candidate would have good mechanical skills or engineering experience or at least a desire to learn such skills. /n • Ability to work on own initiative as well as within a small team. /n • Good level of numeracy and literacy skills. /n • Good level of IT skills. /n • Effective and clear communication skills. /n • A ‘can do’ attitude and a strong work ethic. /n If this sounds like you, please hit apply now! /n Our reference: AGS262Vacancy: Assistant Store ManagerLocation: Boston, LincolnshireSalary: DOEHours: Full Time
