Job Description:The Intellectual Property Resource Assistant (IPRA) supports the IP Practice Group by providing administrative assistance, profiling incoming emails, processing invoices, preparing and filing documents with courts and the USPTO, among other IP-related tasks. The role may focus on patent litigation, prosecution, or trademarks, depending on expertise and practice needs. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement. Locations:Boston, MA; Chicago, IL Assist with IP formalities such as assignments, file organization, and bates stamping. Prepare documents for IP prosecution and litigation. Review and electronically file email correspondence into client matter folders. Send reports like Office Actions and Notices of Publication to clients. Support USPTO and litigation procedures, including IDS, reexaminations, and IPRs. Conduct research on IP prosecution and litigation matters. Coordinate new matter openings and conflict checks. Process vendor invoices and expense reports. Maintain prosecution folders within the document management system. Collaborate with team members to provide onsite administrative support. Perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements include 0-2 years of administrative or IP experience, a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, proficiency with IP systems and MS Office, excellent attention to detail, communication skills, confidentiality, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to handle multiple projects under deadlines. The salary range for Boston and Chicago is $57,500 to $79,200 annually, with potential for additional contingent compensation based on performance and other factors.
