You will plan and deliver personalised, engaging lessons aligned to individual education plans, ensuring pupils make meaningful progress academically, socially and emotionally.You will create a structured, nurturing classroom environment, use a range of teaching strategies to support different learning styles and work closely with teaching assistants, residential staff, therapists and external professionals. You will contribute to assessment, reporting and accreditation processes, maintain strong relationships with parents and carers, and play an active role in the wider life of the school.This role requires flexibility, resilience and a commitment to safeguardingfirst practice, ensuring every child is supported to thrive within a calm, consistent and inclusive setting.What Youll BringYou will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an appropriate FE teaching qualification, alongside experience working with children or young people with SEN, autism and/or learning disabilities.You will bring a strong understanding of curriculum frameworks and personalised, engagementbased teaching approaches, with the ability to differentiate effectively across a wide range of abilities.You will be confident managing classroom behaviour positively, supporting pupils with additional needs where required, and working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.Strong communication skills are essential, enabling you to build effective partnerships with colleagues, parents, carers and external agencies.
