Design Engineer - WastewaterBefore applying for this role, please read the following information about this opportunity found below.Manchester (Hybrid)350 400 per day (Contract)A leading UK-based engineering and infrastructure consultancy is currently seeking an experienced Water Design Engineer with a strong background in wastewater and utility projects to support a growing pipeline of work across the North West.This is a hybrid role based out of Manchester, working on critical wastewater treatment and network improvement schemes within a high-performing technical delivery team.You will play a key role in the design and coordination of wastewater assets, supporting projects from early design through to construction and handover.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver detailed design solutions across wastewater and clean water infrastructure projectsProduce and review technical drawings, design calculations, and specificationsSupport project delivery through the full lifecycle including concept, tender, and construction stagesCoordinate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, mechanical, and electrical engineersAssist with design risk management in line with CDM regulations and industry standardsLiaise with contractors, suppliers, and client stakeholders to ensure design complianceContribute to programme, cost, and technical delivery on utility frameworksRequirementsProven experience working as a Water or Wastewater Design EngineerStrong background in the UK utilities sector (Severn Trent, United Utilities, Anglian Water etc. beneficial)Experience delivering designs for wastewater treatment works, xjdpvnf pumping stations, pipelines or drainage schemesStrong understanding of relevant standards, safety, and environmental complianceProficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similarExcellent communication and collaboration skills within project teamsPackage350 400 per dayHybrid working model (Manchester base)Long-term contract opportunity with strong project continuityOpportunity to work on major AMP and wastewater infrastructure programmes
