IT Technician

Job Description Your new companyYou will be working in a high school in Bolton that is part of a highly respected educational mufti academy trust. The role is an interim vacancy from January onwards.Your new roleAs an Interim IT Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the school's ICT provision. Working onsite Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:00, you will:Manage and maintain software, hardware, and ICT consumables.Support the school's ICT network, ensuring data security, backups, and disaster recovery planning.Provide ICT training and support to staff, learners, and parents.Promote safe and innovative use of ICT, particularly around the internet and social media use.Deliver enrichment activities and assist with classroom learning where required.Liaise with central ICT teams and external stakeholders to ensure effective ICT services.What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you will need:GCSEs (including English and Maths) and relevant ICT qualifications/training.Have an Enhanced DBS (we can get one pending)Experience troubleshooting software and hardware issues.Strong knowledge of managing school ICT networks, including data backup and recovery.Excellent organisational skills and the ability to maintain accurate inventories.Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff, learners, parents, and external partners.What you'll get in returnYou will gain valuable experience working within a forward-thinking educational trust.
