Healthcare Assistant

Job Description We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and experienced Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers to join our team on an AD HOC basis within a childrens residential care home in Bolton. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with diverse needs while maintaining a safe, nurturing, and positive environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide person-centred care and emotional support to children and young people.Assist in daily activities including personal care, education routines, and recreational activities.Promote independence, safeguarding, and wellbeing at all times.Support children with behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties.Maintain accurate records, reports, and care plans in line with regulatory standards.Work collaboratively with the wider care team, external agencies, and families where appropriate.Follow all safeguarding, confidentiality, and health 'safety procedures.RequirementsNVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People or equivalent).Previous experience within a childrens residential setting or similar environment.Strong communication, resilience, and interpersonal skills.An understanding of safeguarding, behaviour management, and trauma-informed care.Flexibility to work on an AD HOC basis, including weekends or evenings as required.Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).What We OfferCompetitive hourly rates.Flexible working patterns to suit your availability.Supportive team and ongoing training opportunities.Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of vulnerable children and young people.How to ApplyIf you are passionate about supporting children and meet the above criteria, wed love to hear from you.
