Job Description About RealityjamRealityjam is a UK-based game development studio and developer platform building MMO titles for PC. We've partnered with Unity, the world's leading game engine, to create a structured 2-year pathway into the games industry for emerging artists and developers.About the ProgramThis is a 2-year Industry Access Program combining structured training with paid employment, designed to take you from foundational skills to a qualified Junior Game Artist role.Year 1 Scion Foundation Training (SFT)A full-time (30 hours/week), 12-month pre-apprenticeship training course focused on game creation and Unity skills. During this phase, you will:Work on live, in-production game titlesContribute original in-game assets (environments, skins, items) with professional creditsBuild a verified portfolio of commercial game workPlease review eligibility requirements and compensation details for the SFT phase in full at realityjam.io/joinourmovement before applying.Year 2 Adeptus ApprenticeshipUpon completing the SFT, you progress directly into a guaranteed 12-month paid apprenticeship (4 days/week) as a Junior Game Artist. You will:Build game worlds and assets for MMO titles using Unity and BlenderWork remotely, managed via Discord and JiraAttend 3 in-person 2-day events per year for expert feedback and team collaborationWork toward Unity Certified Associate qualification (game artist or developer pathway)Apprenticeship Salary & Benefits17,000 base salary (part-time, 4 days/week)22 days holiday per year (including UK bank holidays)Pension and sick payPerformance bonus: total earnings up to 22,000 per yearUpon Completion Graduates will hold a globally recognised Unity Certified Associate credential. Employment offers for full-time Junior roles are made on a case-by-case basis following completion.RequirementsUK resident with the right to reside and work in the UKNo formal experience required, but a portfolio of personal or professional work (3D art, game assets, environment art) will significantly strengthen your applicationPrior industry experience is advantageous
