This is an exciting opportunity to join the friendly and welcoming team at Flansham Park Health Centre. Interviews are planned for w/c 11th August 2025 Main duties of the jobThe main duties of this role is to undertake a wide range of administrative duties and the provision of administrative support to the Practice. Duties can include, but are not limited to, patient registrations, processing of information in a timely manner and in accordance with current policies and liaising with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies. About usFlansham Park Health Centre is a training Practice with 4 dedicated GP Partners and 8 Salaried GP's supported by a team of highly professional clinical and non-clinical staff to provide the highest possible standard of care to over 13,200 patients. Please note therefore, that if your application is successful, you will be required to register elsewhere. Job responsibilitiesThe following are the core responsibilities ofthe Medical Administrator. There may be,on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependentupon factors such as workload and staffing levels: Processincoming and outgoing mail File andstore records as required Photocopy/scandocumentation for coding or sending to GPs Processchanges to patient registration, temporary patients, deduction of recordand new patient registration Code/Inputdata into the patients healthcare records Answerincoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callersrequests appropriately Welcomepatients and visitors to the organisation, directing requestsappropriately Maintain aclean, tidy, effective working area at all times Supportall clinical staff with general administrative tasks as requested Inaddition to the primary responsibilities, the Administrator may be requestedto: Partakein audit as directed by the audit lead Bookappointments Completeopening and closing procedures in accordance with the duty rota Theremay be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks. This will bedependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels Person SpecificationKnowledge and SkillsExcellent communication skills (written and oral) Clear, polite telephone manner Competent in the use of Office and Outlook Effective time management (planning and organising) Ability to work as a team member and autonomously Good interpersonal skills Problem solving and analytical skills Ability to follow policies and procedures ExperienceExperience of working with the general public Experience of administrative duties Experience of working in a healthcare setting QualificationsGCSE Mathematics & English (C or above) or equivalent NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care Disclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.#J-18808-Ljbffr
