Key Responsibilities: Carry out daily banking tasks and complete bank reconciliations Process client and office account transactions accurately Administer petty cash and ensure all records are maintained correctly Prepare cheques and process payments in a timely manner Handle bank transfers for client and office accounts Manage the purchase ledger and ensure timely supplier payments Assist with financial reporting by providing accurate, timely data Support the wider finance function with other ad-hoc duties as required Essential Skills & Experience: Previous experience as a Legal Cashier or in a similar finance/accounting role Good understanding of financial processes and accounting principles Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Excellent organisational and time management skills Clear communication skills, both written and verbal A proactive and solution-focused approach Desirable: Knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules Experience in a legal or professional services environment Understanding of financial reporting and reconciliation Due to the volume of work within the conveyancing department, this role requires someone who can manage workload efficiently, meet deadlines, and maintain a high standard of accuracy.
