Job Summary Anord Mardix, a Flex company, are a global group that manufactures switchgear and associated products for installation in mission-critical and live commercial buildings ranging from data centres to the international headquarters of some of the worlds largest companies. Anord Mardix are looking for an engaged and ambitious Cost Accountant to join our team in Kendal OR Blackburn. Reporting into the Senior Cost Accountant, you will work closely with our Project Managers to ensure margins and cost overruns/savings are highlighted early. What a typical day looks like: Responsible for ensuring all material, labour and expense costs are accurately reflected in the project costing system. Tracking progress of project activities to enable appropriate project financial performance including risk analysis Assist in the management of the project data to ensure accurate reporting and system integrity. Preparing for monthly financial information by investigating variances and analysis for projects to explain actual financial performance against budget Tracking Intercompany transactions and assist with cost and revenue reporting Collaborate with supply chain, commercial and operations teams to further understand projects Assist with month/quarter end activities, as required Assist and support in SOX compliance Internal and External Audits Ad hoc projects as required The experience/qualification were looking to add to our team: Professional accountancy qualification or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience, ideally within a project based company Essential to have a strong cost accounting with manufacturing background and have excellent analytical skills; sound understanding of accounting principles and a strong understanding of ERP systems and associated processes Excellent IT skills and excel skills Working to deadlines with excellent attention to detail Good communication and organisational skills are essential Demonstrate expertise in reporting, analysing, and manipulating data for Must have a driving licence and own a vehicle Eligibility to work in the UK What you will receive for the great work you provide: An environment where you will feel fulfilled by your work, valued for your contribution, and celebrated for your success.
