Import and Export Officer roles available Samlesbury Based (Hybrid working) 28.63 an hour Umbrella Inside IR35 12 Month Contract This is a great opportunity to work within one of the UK's leading Defence organisations based In Samlesbury. Hybrid working. 3 days per week on site. . Import role skills and experience:- Knowledge: Solid knowledge of international trade matters with good experience of applying up to date import techniques Minimum 2 years' experience in an import / export role Must be familiar with the legal requirements regarding importing and exporting of shipments Understanding of the role of freight forwarders Must be familiar with SDP procedures Knowledge of Customs Special Procedures Skills: Excellent organisation skills with a high level of attention to detail Ability to juggle multiple enquiries and prioritise workload Enthusiastic and positive attitude Competent under pressure with the ability to work to tight deadlines IT competent with good Microsoft word and excel skills Experience of operating a Duty Management System Export Officer skills and knowledge required:- Knowledge: Critical Success Factors: Solid knowledge of international trade matters with good experience of applying up to date import techniques Enthusiastic and positive attitude Minimum 2 years' experience in an import / export role Solid applied knowledge of international trade matters with good experience of applying up to date export techniques Previous experience in a export/import or freight forwarder environment would be beneficial Able to work on your own and part of a team to meet demands Skills: Critical Success Factors: Excellent organisation skills with a high level of attention to detail Ability to juggle multiple enquiries and prioritise workload accordingly Competent under pressure with the ability to work to tight deadlines Desired Skills and Experience Experience within supply chain or international trade environment Must have keen attention to detail and be able to work in a fast paced, highly pressurised team IT competent with good Microsoft word and excel skills For more information please contact Lauren Morley at JAM Recruitment or click apply.
