Commercial Finance Analyst

Job DescriptionWere looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst to play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making across our business. Youll provide timely, impactful financial insights and reporting that drive sales, boost ROI, maximise profit, and help control costs.In this role, you'll collaborate with stakeholders across departments, enhancing commercial awareness and shaping data-driven pricing strategies to improve profitability throughout the business.Duties include:Reporting to the Financial Controller, supporting in all aspects of financial decision making by becoming involved in commercial planning and performance analysis to ensure the delivery of financial targets.Work closely with Sales and Operations teams to review, understand and develop financial proposals which reflect customer requirements, whilst identifying the most competitive pricing.Develop pricing models and maintain pricing Masterfile.Analyse production costs, administration expenses and other overhead costs to provide data backed solutions.Develop and analyse sales and marketing reports and suggest strategies for improving business performance.Analyse promotional activities to ensure the funds invested are achieving optimal results.Provide sound financial appraisals of projects or investments, communicating financial benefits or outcomes in a clear and concise manner.Assist in the budgeting process, gaining input from the relevant stakeholders whilst ensuring the budget is aligned with the wider business agenda.Provide the necessary challenge to ensure the robustness of any reports created.Requirements:Recently qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)Previous experience in a financial or analytical roleHighly numerate and analyticalExperience working with large data setsAble to spot trends, problem solve and find solutions using dataHigh level of attention to detail and a passion for accuracyStrong communication skills and able to interact with and influence audiences from varying financial and commercial backgroundsStrong commercial acumenA self-starter who can work independently, spotting the areas to focus onAdvanced Excel and IT skillsAwareness of accounting principles and proceduresDesirableExperience gained from a FMCG manufacturing environment
