Management Accountant

We are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant to join a fast-growing business based in Bishops Stortford. This role offers fantastic exposure across the wider business and is a hands-on position in a fast-paced SME environment, where you will work independently initially and contribute to key decision-making processes. Responsibilities include: Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit and loss accounts Managing balance sheets and cash flow forecasts Developing and managing annual budgets and forecasts to support business growth Overseeing cash flow, accounts payable and accounts receivable matters Ensuring full compliance with UK financial regulations, including VAT returns and corporation tax Implementing finance processes and procedures Key skills: You will be Qualified, Part-Qualified, or Qualified by Experience with relevant work experience Relevant experience working within a SME environment Experience with accounting software and advanced Excel skills Excellent attention to detail and communication skills Reporting directly to the Managing Director and the Board, you will manage day-to-day finance operations, ensuring compliance at all times, and providing strategic insights to drive efficiency and scalability.
