Production Manager

Job Description Our client, a well-established precision engineering company, is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and oversee manufacturing operations within their busy production facility. The company supplies high-quality machined components to a range of industries and prides itself on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with strong leadership skills and a solid background in CNC manufacturing to play a key role in driving production performance and operational efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee daily production operations within the CNC machining facility.Lead, motivate, and develop a team of machinists, setters, and production staff.Plan and coordinate production schedules to meet customer deadlines and maximise machine utilisation.Monitor production output, efficiency, and quality standards.Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to increase productivity.Work closely with engineering, quality, and planning teams to resolve production issues.Ensure all work complies with required quality standards, drawings, and specifications.Maintain a strong focus on health & safety across the production environment.Track and report on key performance indicators including output, downtime, scrap, and delivery performance.RequirementsProven experience as a Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, or similar leadership role within a CNC or precision engineering environment.Strong understanding of CNC milling and/or turning processes.Experience managing production teams within a manufacturing environment.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.Strong organisational, planning, and leadership skills.Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production planning tools is beneficial.Knowledge of continuous improvement practices such as Lean manufacturing is advantageous.What Our Client Offers40-45k salaryDayshift roleExcellent pension schemeOpportunities for career progressionA supportive and professional working environmentOngoing training and development opportunities
