The setting places strong emphasis on creating a nurturing and engaging environment, ensuring children develop key foundational skills and achieve strong outcomes in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).Role Summary:We are seeking an experienced and driven Early Years specialist to take on an interim leadership role across Nursery and Reception. This position combines classroom teaching with strategic leadership, focusing on improving EYFS outcomes, enhancing provision, and mentoring staff within the phase.Responsibilities:Lead the Early Years provision across Reception and NurseryDeliver high-quality teaching within a Reception class (4 days per week)Drive improvements in EYFS outcomes, particularly Good Level of Development (GLD)Implement and model effective phonics teaching (e.g., Little Wandle)Develop and enhance continuous provision across EYFSAct as a role model and mentor to an Early Career Teacher (ECT)Coach and support staff to improve teaching and learning practicesWork collaboratively with senior leadership (Deputy and Assistant Headteacher)Oversee and support provision across multiple classes within the phaseEssential Skills & Experience:Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)Strong experience within Early Years (EYFS focus essential)Proven track record in delivering phonics programmes (e.g., Little Wandle)Experience in leading or supporting Early Years teamsStrong classroom practice combined with leadership capabilityExcellent communication, mentoring, and coaching skillsDesirable Skills & Experience:NPQ in Early Years Leadership (or working towards)Previous experience as an EYFS Phase Leader or similar roleExperience improving EYFS outcomes and provision at a strategic level.Send your CV to Vinay Kumar at or call me on 7537163434.
