Registered ManagerFamily Assessment UnitIncrease your chances of an interview by reading the following overview of this role before making an application.Walsall (WS1)47,008 58,240 per annumWe are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a Family Assessment Unit in Walsall (WS1).This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong leader with experience in residential and assessment services to take full responsibility for the operational, regulatory, and strategic management of a specialist family-focused service.About the RoleAs the Registered Manager, you will be the Ofsted Registered Manager and hold full legal accountability for the service. You will ensure the home is effectively and efficiently managed, delivering the highest standards of care, assessment, and support to families.You will oversee staffing, budgets, compliance, and service delivery, ensuring that all work is appropriately evidenced and meets statutory and regulatory requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational LeadershipHold Ofsted registration and legal responsibility for the serviceLead on safeguarding for vulnerable adults, children, and young peopleOversee admissions, placements, and discharge processesLead the development, implementation, and review of placement plansUndertake and review risk assessmentsEnsure detailed, accurate case recording and high-quality report writingAttend court and provide evidence where requiredWork closely with Therapeutic Teams to ensure appropriate support for familiesMaintain strong partnerships with Social Workers, Local Authorities, and health professionalsPromote the health and welfare of familiesCreate and maintain a homely, safe, and well-maintained environmentFoster an open culture where residents feel heard and supportedStaffing & ResourcesManage staffing structures and rotas to meet placement needsLead safer recruitment in collaboration with HREnsure robust induction, supervision, and appraisal processesOversee staff training and development plansMonitor performance and manage absenceLead effective team meetingsManage and operate budgets in line with policiesPrepare financial reports as requiredLeadership & ComplianceProvide clear leadership, guidance, and direction to the staff teamEnsure compliance with all relevant legislation, Childrens regulations, and National Minimum StandardsEmbed a culture of high-quality care and continuous improvementParticipate in the senior on-call rotaWhen required, work as part of the rota to maintain staffing levelsMaintain full compliance with safeguarding, GDPR, Equality Act (2010), and Health & Safety legislationWhat Were Looking xjdpvnf ForPrevious experience as a Registered Manager within residential or family assessment servicesStrong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and relevant childrens legislationProven leadership and staff management experienceExperience of court work and high-quality report writingStrong safeguarding knowledgeExperience managing budgets and resourcesA commitment to achieving positive outcomes for familiesWhats on OfferCompetitive salary of 47,008 58,240Opportunity to lead a specialist Family Assessment UnitSupportive senior leadership structureOngoing professional developmentThe chance to make a meaningful impact on families livesIf you are an experienced Registered Manager looking for your next challenge in Walsall (WS1), we would love to hear from you.For a confidential discussion or to apply, please get in touch.
