Senior Electrical Contracts Manager - PlymouthAbout the RoleWe are seeking an accomplished Senior Electrical Contracts Manager to lead the electrical delivery of a flagship MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) healthcare project in Plymouth, valued at £48 million.This is a high-profile leadership position where you will take ownership of all electrical delivery within a major MEP scheme. You’ll be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant project execution — on time and within budget.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the electrical elements of a complex MEP contract from planning to completion.Develop and manage project programmes, coordinating with M&E teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.Oversee resource planning, including labour, plant, and materials.Ensure all electrical installations meet BS 7671 Wiring Regulations and other compliance standards.Conduct inspections, audits, and quality checks to maintain the highest standards.Manage budgets, costs, and forecasts while producing accurate progress reports.Take a proactive approach to risk management and mitigation.Act as the primary client interface, providing regular updates and building strong relationships.Lead, mentor, and motivate electrical engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.About YouExtensive experience in electrical engineering and project management, ideally within large-scale MEP or healthcare projects.Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, standards, and industry regulations.Excellent leadership and team management skills, with proven success on high-value schemes.Strong communication and stakeholder engagement ability.Detail-focused with a proactive approach to safety, compliance, and quality control.Qualifications236 Part 1 & 2 Electrical Installation (or equivalent).18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).City & Guilds 2391 – Inspection & Testing.JIB Gold Card (Approved Electrician status).SSSTS or SMSTS – essentialPMP / PRINCE2 project management accreditation- desirableSalary & Benefits£70,000 – £85,000 basic salary depending on experience.Choice of electric car or £5,500 car allowance.25 days holiday + bank holidays, plus 5 days careers leave.Option to purchase an additional 5 days annual leave.Private healthcare (family cover).Life insurance.Pension 5% employer / 5% employee.Reward schemes and share save options.Secure, long-term opportunity on a project running until 2028.Apply NowIf you are an experienced Senior Electrical Contracts Manager seeking your next career-defining role on a landmark healthcare project, we’d love to hear from you.Apply today or contact Cat or Jo on 01752 421888 for a confidential discussion.
