Lead Building Surveyor

Our client, based in the West Midlands, is currently recruiting for a permanent Lead Building Surveyor, for a salary of £50,000 per annum + a car allowance.The successful candidate must be educated to HNC level and have proven experience in building management within the social housing, construction, or property sector, demonstrating expertise in asset management and property compliance.Duties will include (but are not limited to): Leading, managing, and coordinating the work of the surveying teamEnsuring efficient and effective delivery of responsive repairs and planned maintenance projectsDriving service excellence and maintaining high standards of property upkeepEnsuring compliance with building safety regulationsOverseeing day-to-day operational delivery of property-related worksImplementing the Stock Investment Programme in line with long-term asset management objectivesMaintaining, improving, and future-proofing properties across the organisation’s portfolioLeading the delivery of building safety remedial plansEnsuring statutory compliance and effective risk mitigation measuresAdvancing the decarbonisation programme within asset managementIncorporating sustainability principles into property maintenance and improvement worksDriving adoption of energy-efficient solutions to meet net-zero and environmental commitmentsExpertise required:Educated to HNC level or aboveExperience of building management within the social housing, construction or property sectorExpertise in asset management and property complianceWorking hours:37 hours per weekMonday – FridayPlease note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.James Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role.At James Andrews Recruitment Solutions we try to respond to all applications personally, however, due to the high volume of applications this is not always possible.
