Project Director - Construction Division

Job Title: Project Director – Construction Division (Civil & MEP)Location: Dubai, UAEIndustry: Construction / Real Estate / ContractingDivision: New Projects Division (Civil, MEP & Fit-Out)Job Summary:We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Project Director to lead and oversee the execution of high-value construction projects under a newly established division. This is a senior leadership role requiring strong expertise in civil, structural, and MEP works, with a proven track record in delivering large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments within the UAE.The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery, client liaison, resource management, budgeting, risk management, and ensuring compliance with all contractual, safety, and quality standards.Key Responsibilities:Provide overall leadership and strategic direction to construction projects from initiation through to handover.Manage and coordinate all aspects of civil, structural, MEP, and finishing works.Develop and monitor detailed project schedules, budgets, and procurement plans.Lead the tendering, contract negotiation, and subcontractor appointment processes.Ensure alignment with the division’s business objectives and client expectations.Establish and enforce quality control, safety protocols, and risk mitigation measures.Manage stakeholder relationships, including consultants, contractors, authorities, and internal teams.Lead project review meetings, reporting on progress, challenges, and solutions to senior management.Mentor and build project teams to support long-term divisional growth and performance.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Master’s preferred.15+ years of experience in construction project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership/director-level role in the UAE or GCC.Proven experience delivering high-rise buildings, residential communities, or commercial complexes with a major contractor or developer.Strong knowledge of MEP systems integration, project controls, and local regulatory requirements.PMP or similar certification is an advantage.Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.Key Competencies:Strategic Planning & ExecutionContract & Commercial ManagementCross-functional Team LeadershipQuality Assurance & HSE ComplianceBudgeting & Cost ControlStakeholder Management
