Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and proactive Field Installation Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will carry out electrical installations of commercial catering equipment and systems across hospitality and foodservice client sites. This field-based role involves installing commercial catering equipment, and electrical systems, ensuring all installations meet the highest safety and compliance standards. While there is still a component of ongoing service and reactive maintenance, this role is ideal for someone who excels in hands-on installation work and thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. Details: Permanent position Competitive Salary Paid door to door Overtime paid at x1.5 Monday to Friday and x2 Sunday & BH Working hours; 8am 4:30pm, Monday to Friday 20 days annual leave increasing to 25 days after 5 years. Company Van Company Uniform Fuel Card Career progression Employee Assistance Program (Health & Welbeing support) Key Responsibilities: Carry out full electrical installations of commercial catering equipment and kitchen systems on client sites. Install wiring, containment, isolators, distribution boards, and other electrical infrastructure required for new kitchen installations. Interpret and work from electrical schematics, technical drawings, and site plans. Ensure all installation work complies with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and relevant safety standards. Coordinate with project managers and site teams to ensure timely and efficient completion of installation tasks. Carry out commissioning and testing of equipment following installation. Conduct occasional routine maintenance and reactive service visits, where necessary. Provide clear reports and feedback to the office, including parts used, additional requirements, and potential improvements. Participate in the on-call rota to support clients in emergency situations. Experience Required: Approved Electrician with proven experience in installing electrical systems, ideally within a field-based role. Good understanding of commercial installations. 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (essential). City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (desirable). City & Guilds 2377 PAT Testing (desirable). Able to read and interpret electrical drawings and installation plans. Excellent communication skills and a proactive, client-focused attitude. Willingness to travel to multiple client sites across the UK. Full UK driving licence with a clean driving record.
